Singer Mariah Carey has confirmed that she developed gestational diabetes when she was pregnant.
The 41-year-old singer has revealed she had a difficult pregnancy with her six-month-old twins Moroccan and Monroe and suffered from different medical conditions which affected her health.
"I was in a lot of pain because of the fact that they're twins ... I had a rough one ... I just want people to be prepared that it can happen where you go through a rough time when you're pregnant," Contactmusic quoted her as telling Access Hollywood.
"I did develop gestational diabetes. I'm good with that now, I'm OK, but you just have to be careful, nutritionally."
Earlier this week, the 42-year-old star revealed she was ordered to bed rest by her doctor because of her medical issues - which included oedema, which is fluid under the skin - during her final two trimesters.
"I had a really tough pregnancy. I was supposed to be on bed rest, but it was so bad then even bed hurt. I learned a lot being pregnant, watching my body change," she said.
