Mental diseases are on rise in Pakistan due to worsening poverty, price hike and lawlessness, medical experts have warned.

The head of department of psychology at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC), Professor Iqbal Afridi, said that the recent terror attacks on law enforcement agencies have spread a panic among the people and that growing poverty and inflation has baldly affected the mental health of people.
