New Zealand’s medical regulatory body Medsafe has warned the public not to purchase medications online.

Majority of the medicines came from India, United States and China.
“We're more concerned about other types of products coming in, and especially prescription medicines that people are receiving without a doctor's prescription. People who have medical conditions should really go and see their doctor, and have a proper diagnosis made, discuss what medicines might be useful for them, get a prescription and go to their local pharmacy”, Medsafe Manager of Compliance Management Derek Fitzgerald said.
