Men also Seek Emotional Closeness Just Like Women and It's Not All Physical
A recent book, Challenging Casanova: Beyond the Stereotype of the Promiscuous Young Male', is an eye-opener and challenges the stereotype that is often dished out to girls about men and their love for physical intimacy.
Women have this notion that men are fixated about sex and for many men it could just be about sex with multiple partners.
The book reveals how much of a myth this is as most men are quite emotional and sensitive and do require a certain amount of emotional intimacy before they can have sex.
However, in Challenging Casanova, the author, Mr Smiler is of the opinion that heterosexual young men tend to come under three categories, and the largest among them are the ones who want to have sex with just one partner.
'Young men just want a reasonably traditional, romantic approach to dating'. In his book, Mr Smiler says, 'Today, most boys have at least one friend who happens to be female - a "girl friend" but not a "girlfriend,"' which has perhaps influenced young men's attitudes and preferences towards sex for the better."
