Men and Women Have Different Preferences When It Comes to Age of Sexual Partners

by Kathy Jones on September 26, 2014 at 8:10 PM

A new study conducted by a team of Finnish researchers has found that men and women differ in their preferences when it comes to the age of their sexual partners.

The study conducted at abo Akademi University in Turku, Finland suggested that the difference is much smaller between both the genders.

Researchers suggested that because women were more selective than men in their sexual behavior, men were more unlikely than women to have sex with their ideal partners. Therefore men's actual behavior followed more closely women's preferences than men's own preferences.

The study approached 12,000 Finns and found that women, on average, are interested in same-aged to somewhat older men than themselves. Men, on the other hand, show a tendency to be sexually interested in women in their mid-twenties.
