A recent study found that mindful meditation helped reduce symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome by more than 38 % vis a vis a 12% reduction in symptoms among patients who joined a support group.


Mindful meditation mainly helped patients cope with the chronic illness and enhanced their quality of life.
