Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Minister for Human Resource Development, launched Mission Indradhanush, a central government scheme to immunize children at the primary health center at Agnampudi in Visakhapatnam on April 7.

As part of the mission, the district health department will provide immunization to all children aged below two years, who have missed vaccination or have been partially vaccinated.

Explaining the importance of the program, Srinivasa Rao said that it helps eradicate seven childhood diseases. He requested the parents to immunize children in time to ensure their health.

"Every child should be delivered only in a hospital. The ministry will provide better amenities in all government hospitals in the district and also fill the vacant posts of doctors," Rao said.

MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao and MP M Srinivasa Rao and senior officials were also present at the launch.
