It has emerged that a controversial T-shirt by American Apparel reading "Teenagers Do It Better" has landed in hot water after it was seen as sending out the wrong message.

According to the Huffington Post, the new edition of limited edition T-shirts released by the retailer is more creepy than cute, the New York Daily News reported.

The indecent tee is a collaboration between American Apparel and Electric Youth Magateen, a magazine that celebrates "the magnificent vitality, energy and power of young male adulthood".

American Apparel, which has a lineage of controversial ads is giving tees for free to those who will buy the magazine.
