Marc Grey, a 13 year old boy was expelled from school, because of his moustache, which he refused to shave even after repeated warning.

Apparently, he was just following the advice of his GP, to avoid using the razor regularly due to a potential skin condition which may flare up after shaving.

The school, Bede Academy in Blyth, Northumberland had to take this extreme step as the student's appearance did not conform to the school's standards on appearance.

The school had excluded the boy despite appeals from the family about a skin condition, called pseudofolliculitis, which is a rash triggered on the skin due to shaving.

Principal Gwyneth Evans said: "Staff did their utmost to work with the student and his parents, but we were left with no option than to exclude him."
