Cancer Research UK has revealed that nearly 50% of men and women between the ages of 25-74 die young, mainly due to cancer.

Lung cancer happens to be the leading cause of deaths due to cancer in the UK causing around 35,000 deaths a year.

Nearly 40% of the early deaths are caused by cancer. This statistic actually beats the number of people who commit suicide, or are murdered or die in accidents.

In the United Kingdom, nearly 76,000 people die an early death due to cancer compared to 28,000 people who die from heart disease. Respiratory diseases account for 17,000 lives.
