New Alert Band Helps Drivers Stay Focused
Impecca USA, a Wilkes-Barre, PA firm, has introduced a device that uses consumer EEG technology to help people stay focused while driving.
The Alert Band device is worn on the forehead. It has also an earlobe sensor for keeping eye on the heart rate. The system monitors the wearer's EEG waveforms, recognizing when the person begins to zone out, issuing audio warnings recommending to pull over.
The alert band is already out of stock, but those that got their hands on one are promised a 20 hour battery life for those extra long trips.
