The new campaign is being run by the company in association with a nonprofit called Changing the Face of Beauty. The non-profit organization is focused on the integration of individuals with disabilities into general advertising and the media.
"It fosters a whole new direction on advertising messages. And the inclusion of people with differences," said Katie Driscoll, president and founder of Changing the Face of Beauty told ABC.
Driscoll, who has a daughter with Down syndrome, adds, “Back to school is such a critical time for kids. It is important to Changing the Face of Beauty that companies see the 13% of kids that happen to be going back to school with a disability."
Kerri Slocum, Cora's mother, said she hopes the campaign will help a lot of children to become famous starts like her daughter.
"If by having her picture out there kind of changes people's minds and perceptions and stereotypes, then I think that's, you know, a good move in the right direction," she said.
