New Delhi Municipal Council To Share Information On Healthcare Services Online
The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has decided to take its hospital services online, as a part of the central government's Digital India initiative.
For the implementation of Hospital Information System the civic agency has approached National Informatics Center. In the first phase, NDMC plans to implement it at Charak Palika Hospital in Moti Bagh, Poly Clinic in Baird Lane and Dental Clinic at Dharam Marg.
"E-hospital shall enable NDMC to deliver health care services in more effective and efficient way. All information on hospitals and dispensaries will be on one site. This will help NDMC to achieve the ultimate organizational goal of a satisfied and improved provider and recipient of health care. Further, it will also help administrators in NDMC area to exercise an enhanced monitoring and control over the functioning of hospitals and dispensaries under its jurisdiction," said NDMC spokesperson Jagjivan Bakshi. NDMC plans to complete it by October 2.
