New Fitness App 'Matchup' Lets You Compete With Users of Different Fitness Apps
Even if all your friends use fitness trackers that are different from yours, you will soon be able to match your steps with the rest of the group. It has been reported that an online platform 'Matchup' lets users of different fitness trackers, including Fitbit, Jawbone and Withings, compete against each other in the same place, launched its free mobile app for iPhone this week. Matchup's web platform already has more than 20,000 users.
Matchup co-founder John Contreras said, "It is rare that an entire group of friends, family, or co-workers share the same devices. With Matchup, we create an opportunity for a group of users with various devices to connect and join challenges together. The app offers a variety of ways for users to compete with each other. This transparency makes it easy for users to support each other with nudges in case someone is beginning to fall into sedentary patterns."
