Reading glasses, which is a must for many middle-aged , may soon find itself in a corner with a new eye operation technique that promises to help people in Britain read without glasses.

Presbyopia, or age-related long-sightedness is a condition afflicting most middle-aged people.

This new type of surgery called ZKamra was developed at a cost of $70 million. It involves a surgery in the eye to place a plastic implant inside the eye.

Since this is a new form of treatment, its side effects are still not very clear.
