Researchers at Queen's University in Belfast have developed a new form of cancer treatment for those suffering from aggressive form of prostate cancer

The treatment combines the traditional chemotherapy treatment with a radioactive chemical, known as Rhenium-186 HEDP, which then targets the areas of the bone that are affected by the cancer.
“This is a significant development in the fight against prostate cancer. While this combination treatment still has to go to phase two of trials, to know that this combination is safe and feasible as a treatment is a huge step forward”, Dr O’Sullivan said.
