Novartis Announces Voluntary Recall of Triaminic Syrups and Theraflu Warming Relief Syrups
Novartis announced that it has issued a voluntary recall of its Triaminic Syrups and Theraflu Warming Relief Syrups in the United States that were manufactured before December 31 2011.
The company said it issued the recall after finding that the child safety feature of the bottle caps were not working properly as the caps can be removed with the tamper-evident seal still in place.
Around 2.3 million units of both the syrups are expected to be recalled with one child needing medical assistance, three others drinking the syrups without experiencing any problems while eight more managed to open the cap but did not drink it.
