Online Shopping Makes Us Feel Lonely
Internet shopping experience reduces our interaction within the society making us feel lonely, suggests a new study.
The study by A-Plan inferred that we may be missing the interaction that shopping on the high street can offer, like a chat over the counter, the Daily Express reported.
Moreover the study revealed that more than half (57 percent) reported that they fear greater isolation within society as more people do all their shopping and administration online, whether it is booking holidays, shopping or paying bills.
The survey also revealed that 26 percent of online shoppers have regretted a purchase which has not turned out to be exactly what they thought they were getting once they opened the box, while 39 percent revealed to have cancelled a transaction halfway through because they had a question about the product but could not find anyone to answer it for them.
Despite the advantages of shopping online, 91 percent of the 2,000 people polled think it is important to support local businesses.
