Patrick Stewart Offers His Support for Assisted Suicide

The �Dignity in Dying Group' has a well-known patron in Patrick Stewart, who is campaigning for a law to allow assisted deaths, following the loss of a dear friend whose circumstances forced her to end her life in a horrifying manner.

Spurred on by his age and health issues, he has decided to back the cause of assisted suicide.

Sir Patrick, said, "I have the strong feeling that, should the time come for me, having had no role in my birth I would like there to be a choice I might make about how I die."
