The world's tallest man has successfully undergone a pioneering treatment that could have finally put an end to his every growing height.

Sultan Kosen, 29, is the world's tallest man at 8ft 3inches. His abnormal height is courtesy a rare condition known as acromegaly which leads to excess production of growth hormone.

Kosen underwent treatment for the condition at the University of Virginia Medical Center in May 2010 where the doctors managed to put a stop to his growing even taller.
