Vietnamese woman who was ailing from a rare ageing disorder made her look way over twice her age but has eventually had corrective surgery.

Nguyen Thi Ngoc Mai was first diagnosed with Werner syndrome aged 10, but because of her parent's financial constraints, she was unable to undergo the necessary treatment.

However, the 28-year-old underwent plastic surgery to restore her appearance following a consultation at China Medical University Hospital in central Taiwan.I feel like I am being reborn and there are hopes in my life again," the Daily Mail quote Mai as saying.

Doctors said that Mai's surgery was the first of its kind in Taiwan and that they expect her to maintain a healthy lifestyle and have also cautioned her to avoid the sun.
