PneumoniaCheck Assists in Better Diagnosis of Pneumonia

A device which can diagnose pneumonia by filtering aerosols in the lungs, and avoiding contamination by oral bacteria, is indeed a breakthrough development by an ingenious team at Georgia Tech.

PneumoniaCheck, which consists of a plastic tube and a mouth piece, is able to clearly separate particles from the lungs and those from the mouth, using fluid mechanics.

The FDA has given the nod for PneumoniaCheck to be sold in the US.
