President Tells Doctors To Reach Out to the Poor

Doctors were urged by President Pranab Mukherjee to reach out to the deprived and extend all possible healthcare in rural areas.

Speaking at the eighth convocation of King George Medical University, Mukherjee said a healthy country would be a prosperous country.

He asked medical experts to draw a sustainable healthcare roadmap wherein an effective policy was built against population growth and new diseases.

Earlier on his arrival, Uttar Pradesh Governor B.L. Joshi and Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav welcomed him.
