The Pinellas County Medical Examiner has said that former wrestler "Macho Man" Randy Savage suffered from a heart attack minutes before crashing his vehicle into a tree.

The 58-year old was driving down the Florida State Route 694 where he lost control of his vehicle which rammed into a tree. Savage was rushed to the Largo Medical Center though the doctors were unable to save his life.

The medical examiner said that autopsy reports indicted a "deadly" cardiac event which led Savage to lose control of his vehicle.

The examiner added that though the toxicology report indicated the presence of alcohol and hydrocodone (an opiate) in his blood, both of them played no part in Savage losing control of the vehicle.
