Raritan Pharmaceuticals has issued voluntary recall for three children homeopathic medicines following FDA reports.

Belladonna is a substance that can cause harm when taken in more than the recommended quantities. It is referred as “beautiful lady”.
The leaves and berries of the plant Atropa belladonna are used for various medicinal purposes. Belladonna is used to enlarge the pupil in the eyes.
Even though being toxic, it is used for various purposes like irritable bowel syndrome, menstrual cramps, motion sickness, peptic ulcer, infant colic and diverticulitis.
The company has issued own recall of teething tablets and FDA has also issued blanket warning for these products.
