Recession Triggers a Rise in Skin Disorders
Apart from your standard of living, recession may also be bad for your skin after a new survey revealed that nearly 90 percent of dermatologists reported a rise in acne, eczema and psoriasis cases after the credit crunch.
The survey was carried out at the British Association of Dermatologists' annual conference and involved more than 105 doctors and nurses who specialize in skin conditions.
The survey revealed that over 5 percent of the doctors reported a "huge" increase in stress-related skin problems, 41 percent reported a noticeable increase while the remaining said that they had noticed a slight increase in such skin problems.
"The recession brings with it a set of problems that add further stress and misery to the millions that already live with a skin disease in the UK", British Skin Foundation's Bevis Man said.
