Risk of Diabetes and Obesity from Secondhand Smoke
Second hand smoke is bad enough and now there is one more reason to avoid it.
A new study has revealed that adults exposed to secondhand smoke portray higher rates of obesity and Type 2 diabetes compared to non-smokers without environmental exposure to tobacco smoke.
Secondhand smokers showed higher insulin resistance compared to non-smokers, which can result in Type 2 diabetes.
Secondhand smokers also portrayed a higher body mass index (BMI) than non-smokers.
