This news is for all those weight watchers who forgo carbs to achieve weight loss.

Those on a low or no-carb diet could just be elevating their risk of premature death by 30%, according to a recent study.

Research by the University of Canberra, has pointed out the adverse effects of reducing carbohydrates for immediate weight loss, which is detrimental to overall health.

The study which analyzed data of more than half a million people found that 30% of people on a low-carb diet, died as compared to those on a high-carb diet.

This is because the required fibers, vitamins and minerals, which are easily sourced in high-carb foods, were being deprived to those on low-carb diets, affecting people's health.
