The fund will be disbursed over five years as part of government efforts to "encourage and support cyber wellness programmes for our youths", a spokeswoman for the committee responsible for the scheme told AFP Thursday.
The initiative was launched in light of growing mobile connectivity among Singaporean youths.
In a recent survey by research firm Synovate, youngsters in Singapore ranked top in Asia in not being able to live without their mobile phone. They also had the highest ownership of smartphones in the region.
