Medical leaders are pressing for the enforcement of a ban on smoking in cars after research has shown the long-term health gains from such a move.

Smoking in vehicles is more injurious to drivers and passengers. Research has pointed out that smoking in a closed environment is far more injurious as the level of toxins is 23 times more than smoking in a bar.

Smoking can be more harmful especially to the children and the elderly. Those who are victims of respiratory conditions need to be careful.
