A group of students from the University of Saskatchewan want to understand what homelessness in Saskatoon is all about, and are stepping into their shoes by actually opting to sleep outdoor on campus for five nights, and also raise money for a local charity.
Called as the "5 Days for the Homeless" event, the students wish to raise $15,000 for EGADZ, a charity for at-risk youth in Saskatoon.
The students will sleep on the campus for five days and will have to manage with the food and clothing they receive from donations.
