Researchers have found that the physical activeness of four-year-old children was linked with the activity patterns of their mothers.

The researchers also found that the likelihood that the chances of a child indulging in moderate-to-vigorous activity increased by 10 percent with every minute of same level of activity by the mother.
“A study of physical activity patterns of women and their four-year-olds reveals a strong association between the two. It also shows that only 53 percent of mothers engaged in 30 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous activity at least once a week. When it comes to levels of physical activity, it is mothers who set or don't set the pace”, the researchers wrote in their report.
