Survey Finds That Only One Out of Seven Gyns Perform Abortions

Estimation of the numbers of obstetrician/gynecologists who actually perform abortions are off the mark, if the figures from a recent survey is considered.

The survey found that only one out of seven Obs/Gyns actually perform abortions.

Unintended pregnancies account for nearly half of all pregnancies in The US, placing a huge demand for abortion.

Many specialists do not want to enter this controversial field of abortions fearing its repercussions. Some of them with a religious bent of mind prefer to stay away from performing abortions, while the rest do not want to attract attention of anti-abortion campaigners.

Of course, this study is not in-depth and may not have addressed other key facets necessary to arrive at the precise statistics.
