Telephone Therapy Chips in Well for Those With Depression

by Savitha C Muppala on June 7, 2012 at 11:26 AM

A recent insight has revealed the positives of telephone therapy to treat people with depression. The results of telephone therapy may be as good as in- person therapy and is bound to help patients atleast for a short while.

Even though it is difficult to pick up visual cues during telephone therapy, changes in voice and tone can still be picked up by discerning therapists . Telephone therapy is also good for those who are not keen to meet therapists for in-person therapy sessions.

Although in the long term, in-person therapy sessions helped patients much more than telephone therapy sessions, the latter is still good to help people in the throes of depression.
