The chances of non-fatal yet serious injuries lurk in your own home. Tread carefully in your bathroom as close to two-thirds of accidental injuries occur here.

Nearly 81% of injuries are due to falls.

The area around the sink, the bathtub as well as the toilet area seemed to cause most of the injuries due to slips and falls. Standing up from the toilet and sitting down on the seat also caused 9% of total injuries.

The study shows that women must exercise more caution in the bathroom as they are more prone to injuries.
