Those Seeking Information on Procedures for a 'Designer Vagina' may be Disappointed

Cosmetic surgeries for women are in vogue and it appears women leave no stone unturned in their quest to look attractive from head to toe.

From facial cosmetic surgeries, breast enlargement procedures, surgery for a mind blowing vagina and stiletto surgeries, women want to look their best both inside and outside.

Women, who seek information about such procedures, find that the information online is not so accurate. Information available online about cosmetic procedures for vaginal rejuvenation, make lofty claims about hymen repair, or amplification of the G-spot and claim that they can change the shape of the labia.

Considering the popularity of this surgery, study authors have underlined the need for clear guidelines so that women can make informed decisions. Most websites surveyed spoke of 95% success rates and although the risks of surgery were mentioned, it was downplayed.

Out of 10 websites surveyed, only 4 actually mentioned what the exact risks were. A significant piece of information was missing from almost all the sites surveyed, which is the minimum age for vaginal cosmetic surgery.

Further, some of the websites seemed to take advantage of the concerns of women and their fears. Study authors suggested that women should also look at counseling, or using creams rather than look for surgical options to boost their confidence and self esteem.
