Young people have committed suicide because of this problems and authorities have taken it up as a serious issue. Messages would be sent from the police on Facebook to the offenders warning them of prosecution. Alert messages would also be sent to their parents, informing them of their children's actions and possible consequences.
Police official Dave Thomas feels that this action would be very effective as it will teach the bullies that they are not untraceable as well as keep them away from legal proceedings as far as it is possible for their own future welfare.
