With 6,764 Positive Swine Flu Cases Death Toll Reaches 455 in Rajasthan

Around 10 people have been found positive for swine flu (H1N1) and the death toll has reached 455 since the start of this year in Rajasthan, said a health department official.


One person was found positive in Nagaur, two each in Kota, Baran and Jhalawar, and three in Jaipur district in the last five days.

The number of positive cases was 6,764. Of this 433 were from Rajasthan, while 22 were residents of other states but who died in Rajasthan.

The maximum of 90 deaths has been reported from Jaipur, followed by Ajmer at 50 and Jodhpur at 33.

With the increase in seasonal diseases like malaria, dengue and swine flu, the government has cancelled leaves of government doctors and has also constituted a task force to monitor the diseases.
