You Cannot Fool �SickVerify'

To check abuse of sick leave, a new USB device meant to ascertain the veracity of sick leave availed by employees, will be launched and activated in organizations across Malaysia beginning August 2011.

The device works by detecting antibodies and cortisol in the saliva in order to check if the employee in question was actually sick during the leave period availed.

Named as SickVerify, the device which is 98.9% accurate employs algorithms to evaluate concentration of antibodies and cortisol in the saliva sample.

The test hardly takes any time. Once the saliva sample taken on a piece of cotton wool is inserted into a compartment of the USB, and plugged into a laptop, or desktop, the results are displayed in just 3 minutes.
