Zayn Malik Sparks Controversy After Posting Picture Of Him Smoking Online

Zayn Malik shared a black and white picture of himself having a smoke and his fans are upset about it.

The singer shared the snap with the 1.9 million Instagram followers. The snap appears to be Malik's latest attempt at creating the persona of a serious artist with a bad-boy edge, staring into the camera and holding a rolled-up cigarette.

Malik's fans have urged him to quit smoking.

"Please, no zayn, noooo," wrote jhulidrew.

"I'm not saying angry I'm saying betrayed and yes u can't stop your self from feeling betrayed," said another with the username k_lxnv.

The singer posted the image days after it was announced he would be one of the celebrities to appear on an issue of Interview magazine devoted to selfies.
