Glossary
Alkalosis: Dangerously decreased acidity of the blood, which can be caused by high altitudes, hyperventilation, and excessive vomiting.Hyperventilation: Rapid or deep breathing in excess of that needed to supply oxygen to the body.
Hypokalaemia: Inadequate amount of potassium in the blood.
