1. What is the difference between angiogenesis and vasculogenesis?Both angiogenesis and vasculogenesis involve the formation of new blood vessels. Most often, angiogenesis refers to growth of smaller or damaged blood vessels. On the contrary, vasculogenesis refers to the process where the primary vascular system is being formed or modified.
2. What is Pegaptanib used for?
Pegaptanib, an anti-VEGF agent, is used in the treatment of age-related macular degeneration. It is given as an injection into the eye.
