1. Which doctor should I consult for medications and diagnosis of drug-induced nephrotoxicity?

A Nephrologist would clinically evaluate the symptoms and recommend the diagnostic tests based on symptoms. Based on the severity of symptoms and the diagnostic test results they will advise the treatment and this may require short dialysis course.

2. Is kidney damage from NSAIDs reversible?

Yes, the kidney damage can be reversed when the NSAID is withdrawn.


3. Is nephrotoxicity reversible?

Drug-induced nephrotoxicity is reversible provided it is diagnosed at an early stage and the drug inducing it is withdrawn immediately.

4. Which drugs are toxic to kidneys?
