Endocrine system: Collective name for various glands in the body that release their secretions directly into the bloodstream; also referred to as ductless glandsHormones: Secretions of the endocrine glands that control various important metabolic processes in the body including growth and reproduction
Gonad: Glands that produce sex hormones and the gametes (eggs and sperm)
