Treatment of polyarthritis focuses on relieving symptoms and improving joint function.

• Medications such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen and diclofenac reduce both pain and inflammation.,/p>

• Corticosteroids and disease modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) are particularly helpful if you have auto immune polyarthritis.

• Biologic response modifiers such as etanercept are genetically engineered drugs used to target various protein molecules that are involved in the immune response.

• If conservative measures don't help, your doctor may suggest surgical procedures such as joint repair, joint replacement or Joint fusion.

• In many cases, arthritis symptoms can be reduced with weight loss, exercise, heating pads or ice packs.

• Assistive devices such as canes, walkers, can help improve your ability to perform daily tasks. Glucosamine supplements may be tried for relieving polyarthralgia.
• Many people use alternative therapies such as acupuncture, massage, yoga or tai chi to improve joint flexibility and range of motion.

• Physical therapies such as exercises in a warm water pool (hydrotherapy), physiotherapy and occupational therapy are also helpful in improving your general fitness and muscle strength.
