Glossary
Posterior urethral valve: An obstructing membrane in the posterior male urethra as a result of abnormal in utero development.Stenting: A procedure in which a stent (a metal or plastic tube) is inserted into the lumen of a vessel or duct in the body to keep the passageway open.
Urethral meatal stenosis/urethral stricture: Constriction of the opening of the urethra at the external meatus through which urine leaves the body from the urinary bladder.
