Glossary

Cornea: It is the transparent outer eye layer which is circular, in the front and center of the eye.

Lens: It is a transparent structure inside the eye which is biconvex and it helps in the refraction of light.


Iris: It is a pigment structure of the eye with the pupil in the center.

Glaucoma: Glaucoma is an eye disease where the intraocular pressure is high along with optic nerve involvement.

Optic Nerve: Optic nerve carries the visual impulses from retina to the brain.

Corticosteroids: These are a group of hormones synthesized by the adrenal gland, also available as synthetic drugs.

Ciliary Body: It is a structure in the eye which produces aqueous and also supports the lens in the eye.
