Glossary
Pure tone: A sound of a single frequency.Audiogram: A graph showing a person's hearing ability, determined from a set of tests examining hearing acuity at different sound frequencies.
Calibration: Procedure to check and rectify the base level of a device by adjusting it to match a known or fixed measure.
Intensity: Measurable amount of loudness of a sound.
Frequency: The number of vibrations per second. Corresponds to the pitch of the sound.
Warble tone: A tone with frequency varying several times per second.
