Glossary
Alloplast: Foreign inert material used as an implant.Autograft: Tissue graft obtained from, and transplanted into, the same individual.
Conjunctiva: Mucus membrane covering the surface of the eye.
Edema: Accumulation of fluid in the tissue spaces of the body.
Fascia: Band of connective tissue below the skin that covers underlying tissues and separates different tissue layers.
Orbital compartment syndrome: A condition characterized by pressure build-up in the orbit, which can cause blindness if not treated promptly.
Sinonasal tract: Connection between the nose and the nasal sinuses.
