2. Is Sialadenitis contagious?

If sialadenitis is due to mumps or other infectious diseases then it can be transferred to others via coughing, sneezing or contact with infected saliva.


3. How long do the symptoms of Sialadenitis last?

Sialadenitis symptoms due to bacterial infections usually start to resolve within 48 hours after antibiotic treatment. In case of viral infections, it takes around seven to ten days.

4. Does Sialadenitis resolve by itself?

Sialadenitis caused by bacterial infections does not usually resolve without antibiotics. But minor infections may resolve by itself.
